THE METHODOLOGY
Every Problem Is Not Equal
Most founders chase ideas. The ones who build real businesses learn to tell the difference between an annoyance, a pain, and a haemorrhage.
Build where the bleeding is.
THE BLEED TO BUILD METHOD
Annoyance
People complain, but they do nothing about it. No urgency. No spending. No switching. They have learned to live with it.
EXAMPLE
"The queue at Home Affairs is ridiculous." Everyone says it. Nobody pays to fix it. Building here is a trap.
Businesses built here fail quietly.
Pain
People spend money on workarounds. They are frustrated but functional. The problem costs them, but they have adapted to it.
EXAMPLE
"I use three different apps to track my deliveries and none of them talk to each other." They are spending. But they are coping.
Businesses built here survive. Sometimes.
Haemorrhage
People are actively losing money, time, health, or opportunity every single day. They have tried to solve it and failed. They would pay you today if you showed up with something credible.
EXAMPLE
"I lost R40,000 worth of stock last month because I cannot get consistent cold chain logistics to my retail customers." That is a bleed. That is where you build.
Businesses built here win.
The Bleed to Build Method teaches you to find the haemorrhage before you spend a cent building anything.
See How the Method WorksDoes this sound like you?
You have an idea but no one is paying.
You believe in it. People nod when you describe it. But you have never put a real price in front of a real customer and asked for real money. You might be solving an annoyance the market has already learned to live with.
You have a product but cannot get traction.
You built the thing. Customers say they love it and then disappear. Revenue is unpredictable. You might be in a pain market where people cope with workarounds instead of switching to your solution.
You are making money but you are the business.
Revenue is coming in but so is the chaos. You found a real bleed, but you cannot take a week off without everything stalling. You need the systems and the methodology to scale what is working.
Wherever you are, the first step is the same: learn to score the problem before you build the solution.
PROPRIETARY METHODOLOGY
Five Frameworks. Built for Africa.
Every framework was designed in Africa, tested with real African founders, and refined through live cohort delivery. These are the tools inside the Bleed to Build Method.
The Bleed Score
QUALIFICATION GATE
A scoring system that tells you whether your problem is worth building for. If it does not pass, the method stops you before you waste your time. Most programmes let you keep going regardless. This one protects you.
The Customer Safari Method
FIELD RESEARCH
Structured field research where you go where your customer actually lives. Real conversations with real people. No surveys. No guessing. You come back with evidence you can build on.
The Problem Severity Matrix
SCORING FRAMEWORK
A multi-dimension scoring framework that measures how severe your problem actually is. You score it. The matrix tells you whether to proceed.
The Minimum Loveable Product
SOLUTION DESIGN
The smallest real solution that stops the bleed and earns trust. A product your customer would genuinely recommend to someone they care about.
The Bleed to Build Blueprint
CAPSTONE DELIVERABLE
Your complete validation and build record. Everything you discovered, tested, built, sold, and measured, assembled into one auditable document. This is what you show investors. Proof that your business was built on evidence.
Every framework produces a real business document. Nothing you create in this programme is disposable.
The Bleed to Build Method.
A four-phase process built for African markets. No theory. Only what works on the continent.
Find the Bleed
Identify the haemorrhage problems Africa is actually bleeding for, using trend analysis, complaint mining, and AI market discovery.
Prove the Bleed
Validate with real customers in real African markets. Customer Safari, Problem Severity Matrix, and cross-border validation.
Build the Solution
Design the Minimum Loveable Product. Pre-sell before you build. Get first revenue before the programme ends.
Scale Across Africa
Measure product-market fit. Build unit economics. Plan continental expansion from day one.
What founders say after doing the work.
“The pressure is needed. Even though sometimes it can feel frustrating and you feel like quitting in that moment, but it's needed. I would gladly still choose this route over self-pacing.”
Francina T.
Skincare Founder
“If there was no pressure, I would be even further behind. There's not too much to change. For some of us to have an idea from inception and bring it to life, it requires that short time.”
Mpho M.
Trade Enablement
“The pressure that makes you restless is very necessary. There was a point I felt like, why did I sign myself into this. But that's exactly what makes you do the work.”
Rosah M.

SCORE YOUR PROBLEM
Is Your Problem Worth Solving?
Before you build anything, answer five questions. If you cannot answer them with evidence, the Bleed to Build Method is where you start.
Can you name ten people who experience this problem daily and describe how it costs them money, time, or health?
Have those people already tried to solve it and failed, or are they still looking for workarounds?
Would at least three of them pay you this week if you had a credible solution ready?
Does this problem exist in at least two African countries, or is it specific to one city?
Is this problem getting worse over the next ten years, or is it likely to resolve on its own?
If you answered “no” or “I don’t know” to any of these, you are not ready to build yet. You are ready to validate.
